File requirements

CAD file requirements for 3D product rendering.

Every rendering order needs an approved CAD or 3D model for each base product. Drawings and photos help us build or check a model, but they cannot replace one. If you do not have a usable model, we quote modeling separately before rendering can be ordered.

Accepted files

CAD and 3D formats we accept.

Send one current model per base product. Supplier files are welcome, but must pass our technical validation before a rendering scope or payment link is issued.

Models we can validate

Native or exported CAD is best. Mesh formats are accepted when the geometry and scale are reliable.

Supporting references

These help us verify dimensions, materials, finishes and graphics. They do not replace the required model.

Model specification

What a render-ready model must include.

We check these points by hand. A rendering order cannot move to payment until the model is approved or separate preparation and modeling work has been agreed.

Required

Geometry and scale

  • Complete geometry for the exact product and current revision
  • Correct real-world scale, with units stated
  • No missing faces, holes, duplicate surfaces or broken parts
  • Separate components where materials, finishes or movement differ
  • Moving or configurable parts shown in the intended position
  • No missing linked files or external references

Required

Identification and finish

  • One clearly named model mapped to each base SKU
  • Variants linked to the correct approved parent SKU
  • Materials, colors and finishes identified by component
  • Logos, labels and packaging artwork supplied separately
  • Reference images for any appearance that is not clear in the file
  • Any known geometry, scale or revision uncertainty declared
Hard order gate. Drawings, photographs and supplier references can start a modeling inquiry, but they cannot start a rendering order. We only issue the rendering payment link after at least one representative model has passed validation and the model status for every base SKU is agreed.

Separate modeling service

No usable model yet?

We can create or rebuild it first. Modeling is a separate line item from every rendering package, scoped from your drawings, dimensions and photographs, and approved before rendering begins.

Simple

USD 190

Basic forms, limited components and clear dimensional references.

Standard

USD 380

Multiple components, product detail and a fuller material breakdown.

Complex

From USD 760

Detailed assemblies, complex surfaces or incomplete references. Confirmed by quote.

Prices are per model and exclude rendering. Final modeling scope and price are confirmed after reference review. Any preparation needed for a supplied model is also quoted separately.

SKU list

Map every product to its model.

Fill in one row per product and use the file-name column to identify the exact model. This is how we verify that every base SKU has a model before confirming the rendering order.

Render Roll SKU template

One row per SKU, including parent SKU, variant status, required views and model file name.
